Aptos Rallies 7.4% Following Elon Musk Tweet on Advanced Persistent Threats

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter and Tesla, sparked a 7.4% surge in Aptos’ shares on Friday with a tweet that read “AI APT OTT!” However, the excitement was short-lived as investors realized that “APT” referred to Advanced Persistent Threats, not the Aptos token. Consequently, the token’s gains were wiped out when Musk deleted the tweet an hour later.

Elon Musk’s Influence on Crypto Markets

This is not the first time that Elon Musk or the companies he is associated with have caused ripples in the cryptocurrency markets. Recently, Twitter changed its logo to a Shiba Inu dog, the symbol of dogecoin, which caused the meme coin to soar by up to 35%. However, the logo was later switched back to the blue bird.

Aptos’ Recovery After Retracement

Despite the retracement, Aptos, the native token of the Aptos blockchain, remains up by 8.2% in the past 24 hours, mirroring gains in much of the altcoin market after Ethereum’s successful Shanghai upgrade.
